Player cards get backgrounds — and room for your own picture

Put any shop background, or a picture of your own, behind your name on the player card everyone sees. Card backgrounds cost the same as in the shop; your own picture is 100 pesos.

When someone taps your name — at the table, in the waiting room, on a leaderboard or in a tournament — your player card opens: your name, ID, rank and title. Until today every card had the same teal header. From today yours can carry any background from the shop, or a picture of your own.

Every shop background, made for the card

All 14 room backgrounds can go on the card: club felt and night club, the parlor and the salon, starry night, casino lights and floating suits, and the live ones — sea waves, the open sea, the northern lights, the desert campfire and the queen of the table.

The live backgrounds are not simply cut out of the room. Each one is framed for the card: on a computer the campfire and the guitarist sit beside your name, and on a phone, where the rank goes under the name, the scene moves up and to the right so it stays in view. The seas follow the time of day of whoever is looking at your card.

Bought separately, at the shop price

A room background and a card background are two different things. The room background fills the room around the table and only you see it. The card background is what everyone else sees when they open your card. So they are bought separately, each at the same price as in the shop — club felt, night club and the classic card are free.

Your own picture for 100 pesos

Prefer a photo, a drawing or a GIF? Upload a JPG, PNG or GIF up to 8 MB and fit it in the cropper. The frame is a 2:1 strip, and two dashed lines show the part a phone will show. Animated GIFs keep moving. Each upload costs 100 pesos, and your last picture is kept, so you can switch to a background and back without paying again.

How to set it

Open the home page of the lobby and tap the round pencil in the top right corner of your card. Pick a background — the preview at the top shows your card with it — and tap Use, or Buy for … pesos if you don't own it for the card yet. The step-by-step guide, with every background on a computer and a phone, is on the new card backgrounds page.

Pesos are earned at the table, never bought. See you there — and we can't wait to see your card.
