Who I am
My name is Aleksandar Kamenjašević, and I live in Belgrade, Serbia. I am the person behind Mexico Club: I built it, I look after it, and I play on it myself.
Why Mexico Club exists
Mexico Club started with love for one game — Mexico, or Meksiko, as we have always called it here. I wanted a place where I would enjoy spending my own evenings: a tidy table, clear rules, and good company. So that is what I set out to build.
It always bothered me that playing online meant paying. A card game this simple and this social should be open to anyone who wants to sit down, so I made Mexico Club free for everyone.
There is a more personal reason, too. For years I played Mexico almost non-stop with a group of close friends. They are no longer around the table with me, and I miss those games. Mexico Club is how the game keeps going: at any hour of the day there are people from all over, ready to sit down and play a hand.
What you will find here
On Mexico Club you play Mexico live, online, with other players — on your phone or your computer, with no app to install. If you are new to the game, start with the rules or the interactive tutorial, which walks you through one guided round. Once you feel at home, there are public tables and the quicker Mini game, private rooms for playing with friends, parties, friend lists and private chat, tournaments with live brackets, and leaderboards — all-time, monthly, mini, and tournament.
How it stays free
Playing on Mexico Club is free. The site is supported by advertising, which pays for the servers and for the time that goes into new features. Ads are kept away from the game table: while you are playing a hand, nothing gets between you and your cards.
Since 2021
Mexico Club launched in 2021 in Serbia. Since then it has grown one feature at a time, and I am still working on it — the same way I started, as a player first.
