From today a Mini is played for real from the first deal. A fall costs the whole bid even when it takes your total below zero: bid 10, take 9, and you start the Mini at −10. Until now the total stopped at 0, so a player on 0 points could bid anything and lose nothing. A Mini has only three deals, so now every one of them counts.
Your leaderboard points are safe
The minus stays in the game, not on the leaderboards. A Mini that ends below zero counts as 0 on the weekly, monthly, Mini and all-time lists, so it never takes points away. If you have 100 points this week and finish a Mini at −10, you still have 100. A Mini that ends in the plus adds its points as before.
The game itself keeps its real result: your game history shows the −10, and the places at the table go by the real totals, so a player in the minus finishes behind a player on 0.
What stays the same
- A Mini is still three deals with Easy scoring: a fall costs the bid once, and a player who did not bid loses nothing for taking no tricks.
- The most points after the three deals wins, and a shared lead adds deals until one player leads.
- Pesos and title XP go by your place, as before.
- At a public table to 51 the total still never goes below 0. Ranked tables go below 0 by the original rules.
The whole scoring is in the rules.
