Today's update changes how cards move at every Mexico Club table, and it adds a new deck to the shop.
Cards that move, in every deck
Until now cards simply appeared where they belonged. Now they travel. At the start of a round they are dealt from the middle of the table; the cards the other two players throw fly in from their seats; the talon turns over in the air when the caller takes it; and when a trick is complete, its three cards fly to the player who won it. This works with every deck — Classic, Triestine and Hungarian alike. With animations switched off in your profile settings, or on a device that cannot draw them, the cards stay still as before.
The Live poker deck
The new Live poker deck is the French deck brought to life, with foil shine and sparkles on every card. It also reacts to the game:
- Trumps catch fire. As soon as trump is picked, the cards of that suit start to burn at the edges, one after another, under a gentle flame.
- A trick taken with a trump explodes. Instead of flying to its winner, a trick with a trump in it flashes and bursts in a small fireball, with a shock ring, sparks and smoke.
- Face cards protest. Hover the mouse over a king, queen or jack, and both figures on the card shake their heads and open their mouths.
- Aces draw a sword. Hover over an ace and a sword grows out of the middle of the card, quivering, ready to strike.
How to get it
The Live poker deck costs 2000 pesos in the shop, under Cards. Pesos are earned at the table — by finishing public and mini games, with daily missions, your daily streak, badges, the weekly leaderboard and tournaments — and they are never sold. In the shop you can play a card from the deck in the preview and watch it fly before you decide, and once you unlock the deck it stays yours.
A whole round played with the Live poker deck is on the home page, and the deck is described with the others in the shop guide.
